New Normal

Life has a gift of getting away from me. It seems that one minute I'm posting about my experiences going through the Whole30, another I have moved away from my hometown and into the arms of my long-time boyfriend. Now, I am a newly married woman, cooking dinner and thinking that things are starting become interesting.

C and I tied the knot on Saturday in a Bed & Breakfast with our close friends and family. We got to enjoy the fruits of all our stress and frustrations while eating amazing seafood, BBQ, and Greek cuisine. We ended up having a very elegant, yet casual wedding with Science Fiction and Fantasy themes. Our wedding cake even had a dragon wrapped around the bottom and Han Solo/Princess Leia on top. We are the ultimate geeks.

Now, it's time for us to get back to normal, but our normal for the past year and a half has centered around a wedding. What do we do now? We hope to be able to go back to hiking, backpacking, and camping. I want to start up a chainmaille jewelry business so that I can see some of my chains on more people. I also want to be able to renew my journey into a healthier, happier me.

So be prepared for a thirty day challenge to myself. I'm challenging myself to take my medications like I should. I am challenging myself to go to bed and wake up when I should. I am going to eat my daily doses of vegetables and I'm going to stay away from fast food. I am challenging myself to get out more. It's going to be a rocky ride, but I am now ready to find my new normal.
